Healthcare Team

Doctors

Our general practitioners (GPs) work in a partnership. All patients are allocated a named GP. You may see any of the doctors in the partnership, but is a good idea to try to see your 'usual doctor' when you can, to maintain the continuity of your care.

GP Registrars

Avonside Health Centre is pleased to provide post-graduate training for GP Registrars (Speciality Trainee doctors) as part of the Coventry and Warwickshire Vocational Training Scheme (West Midlands Deanery).

A GP Registrar is a qualified doctor in the early stages of a professional career as a GP, who works with the support and supervision of more experienced doctors.

We see it as a win-win arrangement: longstanding GPs enjoy passing on their pearls of wisdom and registrars bring fresh insights and ideas to help keep the more seasoned members of the medical team up to date!

If you're considering joining us for your ST2 or ST3 placement, and would like to look round and meet the team, please contact practice.manager@remove-this.avonsidehc.nhs.uk

We look forward to seeing you!

Student Nurses and Medical Students

From time to time, student nurses and medical students are attached to the practice. Your cooperation in extending their education would be appreciated. If you do wish to see a doctor without a student present, please inform the receptionist.
